Coming to Torrevieja
You can get to Torrevieja by intercity bus from Madrid (ALSA | https://www.alsa.es) and by regional buses from all surrounding cities (Murcia, Alicante, Elche y Cartagena) with the "Costa Azul" company - https://www.costazul.net/. To those cities you can go by bus (again with ALSA) or by train (RENFE | https://www.renfe.es).
If you come to Torrevieja by bus from Madrid, you will get to the central bus station and from there you can take a bus to the flat – see the next section.
To Alicante you can also come by plane. It has an international airport, to which, i.a., Ryanair and Wizzair fly. https://www.aena-aeropuertos.es/csee/Satellite/Aeropuerto-Alicante/es/
From the Alicante-Elche Airport, there is a direct bus to the city center (The last bus stop is the bus station in Torrevieja) and it costs 6,92 €. Here you can find more details about its itinerary: https://www.autocarescostazul.com/1/upload/folleto_publicidad_servicio_aeropuerto.pdf
You can also think about Car-pooling. On weekends many people go to Torrevieja and offer free places in their cars. The best carpooling platforms are BlaBlaCar https://www.blablacar.es/ and Amovens https://amovens.com/.
Going to the flat from Torrevieja City Center
(Apart from reading this paragraph, we recommend you read section "The city and the neighbourhood", which contains information about the public transport in Torrevieja)
Just outside of the Torrevieja bus station there is a taxi rank. From there to the flat, the journey costs around 7 – 8 € and takes about 10 minutes. A good landmark for the taxi driver is MAGANI café.
The other option is a city bus. You can take Line A or C. Just outside the bus station on the right of the taxi rank you can find the bus stop of the line A. Take a bus heading to La Mata and get off at the twentieth stop, called MAGANI. The ticket will cost 1,35 € and the journey will take about 20 minutes. Remember that in Spain you have to press the STOP button, when the bus approaches to your bus stop. Otherwise it may pass without stopping.
